Advanced IR Instrumentation
Advanced infrared instrumentation includes sensor systems and related technologies that exploit our photonic structure enhanced components for gas and chemical detection. These components include randomly surface-textured broadband sources and MEMS-based, photonic crystal enhanced, IR transceivers.
Research efforts continue with development of highly integrated, low cost, competitive sensor platforms based on MEMS device technology and high performance, innovative optics. Target applications include detectors for security, safety and process monitoring, meeting the needs of government, military and commercial customers.
