Dr. Martin U. Pralle, General Manager - Dr. Pralle joined ICX Photonics in 2000 as part of a small senior research engineering team responsible for developing the photonic crystal emitter technology from white paper to working prototype. As the former Vice President of Engineering, he was responsible for leading a multidisciplinary engineering development team at ICX Photonics focused on delivering products based on the photonic crystal MEMS IR emitter technology. His previous work focused on supramolecular self assembling organic nanostructures for functional materials and devices. Dr. Pralle holds a BS engineering degree from Cornell University and a PhD. in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Dr. Edward Johnson, Founder and CTO - Dr. Johnson co-founded ICX Photonics
in 1995 and was responsible for overseeing the initial product launch in late 1996 and growth of the business to date. He directs the activities of the Company's operations, establishing strategic relationships and managing ICX Photonics
' technical and market growth. His previous experience includes responsibility for Defense and Aerospace Projects at Spire Corporation. Dr. Johnson is a Rhodes Scholar with fifteen years experience in government and industrial R&D and management. Dr. Johnson has BS and BA degrees from Washington & Lee University and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Oxford University.
Nancy Scoville Buck, Vice President, Operations - Ms. Buck directs the manufacturing operation from end-stage product development to materials and operations planning. Before joining ICX Photonics
, she held engineering, business development, and manufacturing positions within various Thermo Electron subsidiaries. She has over 20 years experience in research, product development and manufacturing of solid state materials and devices for alternative energy conversion and conservation systems. Ms. Buck has an MS in chemistry from Northeastern University and BS in chemistry from King's College, PA.
